Angela DeLaRosa, BS

Managing Partner

Ms. De La Rosa’s professional career spans 32 years, mainly within the field of criminal justice working in positions of providing field supervision and case management services for both youth and adult offenders, statewide - program administration, policy and curriculum development, training, case and program analysis, resource training for law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation of missing and exploited children, being an advocate for and providing resource information to victim families. Her lengthy training experience includes but is not limited to: domestic violence intervention and prevention, cognitive-based facilitation addressing criminal thinking with emphasis on substance use and anger management, and professional leadership. From 2013- current, she is a co-owner of Texas Community Supervision Alternatives LLC and since 2010 is a co-owner the Center for Cognitive Education LLC. Both agencies primary client population are persons who are being referred for treatment and/or educational services by a criminal justice agency (probation, parole, County & District Attorney’s, Criminal Courts), in addition to referrals by Family Courts and clients who have self- referred.

Ms. DeLaRosa uses her broad spectrum of knowledge and years of experience to ensure processes and programming are established within the applicable field of best practices, promote an atmosphere of equity and inclusion, and establish and maintain collaborate relationships with referral sources to meet their agency needs.

Community Involvement: Travis County Batterers Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) Advisory Committee; Austin/ Travis County Family Violence Task Force; Human Rights Campaign (HRC)- Federal Club Council member, Out Youth, Vivent Health (AIDS Services of Austin), and Lifeworks Austin-Legacy Founding Member. 

Christina Hernandez, MA

Executive Director

Christina Hernandez has a Master of Arts in Planning and Urban Development. Her passion for planning translated into 20 years of leading corporate operations specializing in ethical corporate governance and team leadership theory. She is a firm believer that an organization is only as good as its team.

Christina has extensive experience in strategic planning, direct annual budgeting and planning processes, and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals. She serves as primary liaison to legal counsel in addressing legal issues e.g. copyright, antitrust, governing instruments, partnerships, licensing etc.

She has previously worked as a Director of Operations/ Executive Director for a local residential treatment facility and intensive outpatient treatment facility.  She works to serve under resourced populations. Her priority is to provide an inclusive and safe environment for individuals to receive outpatient substance use treatment and recovery support educational programming. 

Community Involvement: Board of Governors- Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Out Youth, and Vivent Health, Lifeworks Austin-Legacy Founding Member and Federal Club Council Member - HRC. 

Angela Hood-Almanza, LCDC

Clinical Director

Angela Hood-Almanza has 18 years of in-depth addiction treatment experience and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.

 

Prior to her role as Clinical Director at Living In Recovery, she held various positions to include Chief Operations Officer, Clinical Director, Director of Admissions and Detox, Coordinator of Outreach and Referral services and as a counselor in admissions as well as various levels of residential treatment and outpatient services.

 

Angela earned her bachelor's degree in liberal arts with a specialty in counseling, is currently working on her master's degree in mental health counseling and is Adjunct Faculty at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.
